GCARC Amateur Radio License Testing Each Month

Post by JamesKW5CW »

The Grayson County Amateur Radio Club will now be administering Amateur Radio License testing, and these tests will be given prior to the GCARC club meeting each month, coordinated by the ARRL VEC.

The first testing session will be at the October meeting location at 6PM.   If you are a GCARC member, you will receive important announcements via hamclubonline.com. Information regarding testing will appear in the September 2023 GCARC Newsletter.

The date for the first session is Tuesday, OCTOBER 17, 2023, at 6PM.

The date for the second session is Tuesday, NOVEMBER 21, 2023, at 6PM.

There will be no testing during December because there is no club meeting in December. Instead, the club holds the yearly Christmas dinner on what would normally be a meeting night, the 3rd Tuesday of the month.

The location of the test sessions will be at the new GCARC Meeting Location starting at the October Meeting.

The new meeting address for GCARC meetings starting in October is the following:

Texoma Counsel of Governments
1117 Gallagher Dr
Sherman TX 75090

If you are interested in getting a license for the first time, or if you would like to go for an upgrade, please view the following link, so you know what to bring with you to the test session.

More information about ARRL License Testing will be available at the next GCARC Club meeting. Anyone is invited to attend the general club meetings each month, so please plan to be there if you have any questions you want answered regarding testing, or to take a test.
